How to increase My CTR?

Recently Market sherpa has released an article on how to increase your click through rates and effective ad design tactics.
The following were suggested:
1. Adding pictures of people
2. Adding Data entry feilds like email, signups or Product Search's
3. Adding Video.
4. Adding Dynamic Text using XML.
5. Using Greater Interactivity (games, quizes etc.)
6. Include links of various targets.
7. Making ads Expandable.
