Online Advertising - Reach Vs. Cost

In my opinion the above figure is a vague picture of the Cost Vs. Reach for Advertising over Internet. There are emerging mediums like Social Media which may be better proving than SEO for in some specific Industry.

PPC Advertising has always proved low cost and high reach, specially talking about Google Search and Content Network. The usage of Social media has been High specially in the recent times. In my experience Social media has not being effective taking into considerations the number of Conversions/Sales.

you've missed a crucial factor called display networks other than google which comprise a massive chunk in today's advertising. Infact the affiliate advertising would also come as a separate vertical in this graph since you can't keep it in any of those categories. And you are correct this does not give a complete picture of the digital market dynamics globally. WOM ( word of mouth) marketing has changed the entire economics of digital marketing today and changing even more faster with every passing day.
